A beautiful early French cartonnage volume, Saint Augustin, ou l’Afrique au cinquième siècle by Amans Bégin, published in Limoges in 1845. The deep navy binding is especially striking with elaborate gilt decoration, scrolling ornament and floral details.
Wear to the top and bottom of the spine with a little separation at the top, but overall it presents beautifully.
