A mid 19th century French children’s book, translated from Schmidt and published in Limoges by Martial Ardant Frères in 1864. Illustrated with engraved plates.
A particularly sweet smaller scale French cartonnage with an ivory and gilt floral cover and a hand colored vignette of two young girls. Much thinner and more petite in scale than many of the others in the collection.
Good antique condition with visible age related wear, particularly along the spine and edges. Some foxing and toning to the interior pages consistent with age.
