An 1850 French edition of The Life of Saint Francis de Sales by M. de Marsollier, published in Tours by Mame et Cie. This illustrated edition tells the life of Saint Francis de Sales, Bishop and Prince of Geneva, and includes beautifully detailed engraved illustrations.
A particularly elegant French cartonnage binding in cream and gold with an elaborate interlaced design covering the front, back and spine. The extensive gilt decoration gives this one an especially rich look.
In really great antique condition with a strong, solid spine and very little exterior wear. Some light foxing to the interior pages consistent with age.
