An 1878 French edition of A Noble Heart by Mlle Fiévée, published in Rouen by Mégard et Cie. Illustrated with engraved scenes throughout.
A gorgeous powder blue French cartonnage binding with deep blue and extensive gilt decoration in an intricate geometric pattern. The front features a color illustration of a young boy by the sea, surrounded by an elaborate blue and gold frame.
Good antique condition with some age related wear. There is wear to the spine, particularly along the lower third, including a horizontal split across the spine as shown. The binding remains intact.
