A beautiful 1883 French edition of The Rivers by E. Rosary, published in Rouen by Mégard et Cie. Illustrated throughout with engravings, including maritime and river scenes.
A particularly striking French cartonnage binding in shades of powder blue and deep blue with extensive gilt decoration and an intricate geometric design. The front cover features a colorful boating scene framed in ornate blue and gold.
In really good antique condition with a great, solid spine. A little foxing throughout consistent with age and minor age related wear.
