A beautiful 19th century French cartonnage edition of History of Turenne by Abbé Raguenet. Published in Tours by Alfred Mame et Fils in 1883.
This is an especially striking example with an elaborate green, white and gilt decorated binding, complete with a charming inset color landscape scene on the front cover. The interior includes engraved illustrations, including a dramatic full page frontispiece.
Very good antique condition overall. The spine is particularly well preserved with very little wear, especially nice for a decorative cartonnage binding of this age. Minor age related wear to the corners and edges as pictured.
