This charming 19th century dome-top box is a beautiful example of period craftsmanship, featuring decorative carved bone and brass mounts that highlight its warm wooden surface. The domed lid adds a touch of elegance, while the original patina and age marks tell the story of its long history. Measuring 8” x 5” and standing 4 ½” tall, it’s perfectly sized for display on a desk, bookshelf, or side table.
Time has left its mark with visible wear and some cracking in the wood, particularly along one side, which only enhances its authentic antique character. The interior is divided into two compartments, once intended for storage of small treasures or tea, now offering endless styling possibilities.
Whether displayed on its own, styled atop a stack of antique books, or incorporated into a vignette, this dome-top box brings warmth and old-world charm to a traditional home.
Condition: Wear and cracks consistent with age, especially along one side.
Dimensions: 8” L x 5” W x 4 ½” H
